Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 exclusive launch on Amazon India

Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 3 was originally launched in China last year, featuring a MediaTek processor. But since 2014, Xiaomi has been in a court battle with Ericsson, and is only allowed to sell smartphones in India that are powered by Qualcomm’s chipsets. This has resulted in the company launching a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650-powered Redmi Note 3, which will is coming to India now

On the photography front, the Redmi note 3 is equipped with a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and Phase Detection Autofocus support, while up front, there is a 5-megapixel selfie camera. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and GPS, and on the software front, it runs on Android Lollipop-based MIUI 7.

The Redmi Note 3 has a hybrid SIM card slot, so you can either have two SIM cards or one SIM card and a microSD card. It is also the first Xiaomi smartphone to come with a fingerprint sensor, which Xiaomi claims can unlock the phone in 0.3 seconds. Xiaomi is also touting a completely curved design, which it claims is easier to hold where the edges don’t dig into the user’s skin. It also comes with an IR blaster.
